Mirrors are intimating to new students, but the importance of practice feedback from belly dancing movements is critical and many of us will mount mirrors in our living quarters as a necessity to aid practice and rehearsal sessions.
In the beginning we use mirrors which we can find in the bathroom, bedroom, or with luck in the living room. Along with the lack of mirrors is space to move our arms and do traveling floor patterns.
Beginning Mirror Attempts:Small mirrors on the walls do help with facial expressions.Medium-sized mirrors help with smaller shoulder and chest movements.Portable full-length mirrors help with seeing the entire body but little help for arm movements.
